Breaking Free
by Sasha Williams

I remember the first time I came to Bramblewood.  I came to one of their dressage clinics.  Walking down the driveway, I wondered if everything would go as planned.  They decided to put me on Finny and I was very excited about riding.

I walked into the ring and my lesson began.  It was the best ride ever.  Well, almost, and I had the time of my life.  When I went home I told my aunt, Robyn, how wonderful this place was.

So one day I took Robyn to the barn to meet Kim and Mihran.  They talked forever, it seemed like, and I was very happy they were getting along.  Finally Robyn decided to let me bring Duchess, my horse, there.  Kim hooked up the trailer and we were off to rescue Duchess.

When we got to my old barn, let's just say that things didn't go so well.  I went to get Duchess and handed her to Kim and Mihran to put on the trailer while I got the rest of my things.  Duchess didn't want to walk onto the trailer.  They gave her to me and she walked right on.

We got back to the barn and I got Duchess settled into her new stall.  So, life at Bramblewood has been the best thing ever.  After almost two years, Duchess has finally come together.  Now we are getting ready to start showing and starting Pony Club.  Moving to Bramblewood was the greatest thing ever.  Thanks for everything!

Kim's note: I promise Sasha received no compensation for this essay!  But I might want to hire
her for PR work.
