Hello! This is me, Kimberly Carter Cush
and Falstaff the Shire. I am a freelance
writer, professional riding instructor and owner of Kindred Spirits Pet Care.
My mother, Wanda Winchester, and I started our pet sitting company as a way to counteract
too many hours spent in front of the computer doing research and writing - and realized
there really is no better way to spend our time than being surrounded by the animals we
love. Wanda and I combine our insight and years of experience in large and small
animals to allow you to travel with serenity and good faith in the knowledge that your
critters are being well cared for at home.
As a riding teacher - - my focus is on starting beginners the right way and filling gaps
in basic understanding found in many advanced riders. I am certified Level III in
hunt seat through the American Riding Instructors Association. My students
range in age from 4 to 65, but each one knows that a session with me will be both
challenging and fun. My focus is primarily hunt seat using the building blocks of
classical dressage to produce secure, safe riders. From show ring to cross country,
my students are given the knowledge to become independent, thinking horsemen, ever
considerate of their equine partners needs.
I am honored to be a graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC - as well as the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC. Many thanks to all the blessed mentors, both writing and riding alike whom I have had the opportunity to meet along the way. We are all kindred spirits.
