Bramblewood Stables

Kimberly Carter Cush holds the highest level of certification currently offered by the American Riding Instructor's Association (ARIA) Level III in hunt seat.  She instructs beginners to advanced riders at Bramblewood Stables in Greenville, SC.  Lessons focus on the correct fundamentals of hunt seat riding from ground work to jumping.   Her students are of all ages and abilities - from those who have never mounted a horse to seasoned riders who want to improve their skills.

Kim grew up in Greenville, SC  where she began riding when she was nine. In the following years she studied with several area instructors where she cultivated her love for forward seat riding and withstood her first mount’s attempts to dump her at every opportunity.

She graduated from Wofford College with a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Art History and began work as a freelance writer. During that time she started to understand a similarity in the systematic study of language with the aids given to guide a horse properly.

Kim put the practice to work through teaching the hunt seat style of riding and has spent the past several years riding and developing her program with Gerald Pack, Master of the Greenville Hounds, whose style of teaching was developed with Gordon Wright and other masters of balanced, correct equitation.
